Misdiagnosed & Misunderstood

Welcome to the place for patients who won’t be dismissed.

You’ve been told it’s “just anxiety,” “nothing to worry about,” or “all in your head.” But you know your body — and something isn’t right. This space is for the determined, the exhausted, the smart-but-sidelined patients (mostly women) who are done being brushed off and ready to take their health into their own hands. You're not imagining it. You're not alone. And you're definitely not too difficult — you’re just undiagnosed.

Let’s change that.

"But have you tried yoga?"

What Do I Know?

I’ve been misdiagnosed more times than I’ve lost bobby pins—turns out “IBS” was a connective tissue disorder, “Raynaud’s” was POTS, “anxiety” was ADHD, “MALS” was just a hyperactive gallbladder (which I lost), and “FND” was actually complex venous outflow disorder.

I knew it was getting dire when my GP had given up on me and ChatGPT and Google were more helpful than the medical advice I was receiving.

I don’t claim to know everything—but I do know what it feels like to be dismissed, unheard, and stuck in a body that’s constantly hurting. I know how overwhelming and lonely the medical maze can be. So if sharing what I’ve learned helps make your journey even 5% less confusing, frustrating, or gaslight-y—then that’s a win in my book.

Now What?

After all the misdiagnoses and medical mayhem, I’ve channelled the chaos into something useful—this blog. It’s split into three parts to help you laugh, learn, and feel less alone.
